Inspired By DIY: Anthropologie Royal Theater Frame
April 19, 2016
Happy Tuesday! Another month, another Inspired by DIY. This month we decided to tackle the one and only, Anthropologie. This store is by far my favorite store to go window shopping in. haha!!!! My pockets are not that deep, but just walking through this store always leaves me inspired.
I have been eyeing Anthropologie's, Royal Theater Frame; it looked super easy to recreate....So I did it, Domicile 37 style.
Materials
(Thrifted) Vintage Frame
Tassels
String*
Scissors*
*I actually did not use any scissors for this project, you may need to if you to go a different route in obtaining your materials and putting it together. I used tassels from Michael's. It came in a package with a handful of other tassels strung on a piece of string. I used the the string that the tassels were strung on and one tassels for this project. Depending on how your frame is shaped, will determine how many tassels you will use (i.e. if your frame is shaped like a trapezoid, two tassels will be better than one).
Steps
1. Place the tassel to the center of the string
2. Weaved the string through the frame (Look at image above)
3. Tie the ends of the string together in a knot
4. Hang on wall
How gorgeous is this frame? I love the detail of the frame and the soft feminine touches that the tassels brings to the frame. I love this project and I am so thankful that you stopped by. I have some friends who also created some Anthropologie inspired pieces that you should definitely check out.

DeleteThis is perfect Jess! I love that you took a thrift item and made it turn out even better than new! After all, isn't that the look Anthro tries to mimic?! Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris...I believe that is the look Anthro tries to mimic. They most certainly like give almost everything that vintage flair.
