One Room Challenge 2015: The Big REVEAL
November 12, 2015
I would like to give a HUGE Thank you to Aloriam Pillows, Lamps Plus, and Minted for providing me with products to help decorate my space. Although they sponsored some of my products the opinions are all mine.
Happy Thursday! Guys, I finally am finished with our "small" master bedroom. For those of you who are new to my site. I have been participating in a 6 week decorating challenge hosted by Linda from Calling it Home. I also live in a rental so I am limited on what I can do, BUT I try very hard to do all that I need and can do that is rental friendly.
The room that I decided to tackle is my-so-called kids room TURNED master bedroom. We live in a 3 bedroom rental but occupy only 2 of the rooms with the third bedroom serving as storage (yeah, we lack storage big time). Earlier in the year I made-over my girls room, you can check it out here. I also gave this room a mini-makeover as well, which you can see here.
This is before picture of the room. Although nice, the mister and I were jus not feeling it. The style was just not us...AND...it did not match the rest of our house. If anything bothered me, the lack of cohesive-ness did.
Drumroll: Here is the bedroom reveal...
Minted Art // Target Lighting Sconces // Aloriam Pillows
Nate Berkus Gold Sidetable // DIY Ikea Shelving
Since the room is so small, I was not able to get a good photo of the rug...but here it is! Thank you Lamps Plus! I love the rug and the color is to die for!
Michael's "Ashland" Vase // DIY Target Threshold Mirror*
Minted Art // Thrifted Horse // Michael's "Make Market" Vanilla Candle (smells so good)
Thrifted Rock // Egyptian Cat from Ross
Target seasonal Halloween "Hands" Bowl // DIY Michaels storage box*
DIY Queen Nefertiti sculpture (yardsale find)* // Home Goods bowl
MCM Console (Craigslist) // DIY starburst art
Minted Art // DIY Art (Love is the New Black)* // Thrifted Chair // DIY striped Pottery Barn Curtain* // Thrifted Lamp and Shade
DIY "BLACK" Plate // Thrifted Brass tray
Minted Art // DIY Styrofoam heads*
Big Lots Mirror // Minted Art // Michael's "Maker Market" Candle
* I will have a tutorial to share with you how I created the some of my decor pieces.
Thank you for stopping by! This room has gone through the transformation and in the process I have met some wonderful One Room Challenges participants. I have enjoyed this challenge and look forward to participating in it in the future.
Check out this Fall's participant!
A huge thank you to Linda from Calling it Home for coordinating this challenge! I really enjoyed participating and befriending some of the fellow bloggers who participated. Thank you!
