9 Ways To Add Entomology To Your Space
October 09, 2015
Happy Friday! While looking through some of my blogging buddies Fall and Halloween home tours, A thought popped into my head and I started to think about how Entomology decor can be a really fun way to spruce up your home for the Fall season. Yeah, It may seem a little dark or creepy, but it can be cool and plus it can be used seasonal or all-year-around. With that thought, I decided to put together a roundup of my FAVORITE Entomology decor. Some of them you can purchase at stores others can be recreated.

Well, that is it for me today. I hope I inspired you to think outside the box and I look forward to sharing with you next week!
I am telling you...be ready...Once I buy a home, I will be decking out my Fall decor with Entomology. It is so creepy...in a cool way, I cannot help myself. Entomology decor can be subtle or it can stand out...it is whatever you make of it. What I like about the pieces I chose for this roundup is that they can all be used in different settings of your home and can mix well with different decor styles.
If you are interested in Entomology below is a roundup of stores that sell them as home decor. You can click on the image to be redirected to the stores site.

Love this! It totally fits the fall season.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a bug person but these were great integrations into the home! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteno problem, thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOh I'm really liking the looks of this and have started putting things like this on Pinterest. Saving for later!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI didn't know what entomology was until this post. I really like it!
ReplyDeleteMy grandfather use to catch butterflies and make pictures with them. They were so beautiful!~*
ReplyDeleteWow! that is so cool. My daughter would love for me to do something like that. She loves butterflies.
DeleteI love those hexagon prints from World Market, and those cute glass jars! Thanks for sharing Jess. :)
ReplyDeleteI know right, aren't they so cute!
DeleteThis is the perfect time of year to add such a coveted collection!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Yes it is! This is a good way to spruce up your home in a very subtle way.
DeleteOh...these creep me out a little, so perfect for Halloween/Fall decor. I know they are not bugs, but my sons are all obsessed with "spooky spiders." So, that's what we're going with this year :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I think my little boy and your sons can be buddies based off of that tidbit. My son has been taking all the fake spiders off my tablescape and lining them up on the floor like they are going to war. Silly boy!
DeleteMy great aunt used to love catching unique bugs and use them as decoration. I'm not the biggest fan, but I will admit some of the butterflies and beetles had some amazing colors! And this does fit fall very nicely!
ReplyDeleteThat story of your aunt is so cool!
DeleteI love it! (And thank you for including my pillows!) The pattern on that H&M plate is amazing - I want it as a wallpaper!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I was thinking the same thing. Thank you for allowing me to showcase your beautiful sofa and pillows. BTW...if they sold that as a wallpaper it would match sofa and your living room decor beautifully!
DeleteWhat a great idea! I love the thought of just spider designs for Halloween, all tastefully presented!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has a beautiful collection of butterflies that we have around the home for most of the year. It really does add a touch of whimsy!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool. I thought about making a faux butterfly display, but it is still up in the air...I think I would prefer the real deal.
DeleteI love this!! I actually really enjoy how the different elements add mystique and beauty to a space for Halloween. I usually dread (or avoid) decorating for halloween because all I think of is cheap orange plastic, but this is beautiful and well done!!
ReplyDeleteYou sound just like me....We do not do orange plastic in this house! lol!
DeleteThese are perfectly creepy for Halloween, but I'm not sure I could do it, lol. I'm okay with bugs - when they're outside, and I know they're not real, but... nope. Haha.
