Vibrant and Trendy Eclectic Nursery Room
September 25, 2015
Earlier in the month, I dropped off a table at my girl friend's NEW house and I was stunned by how GORGEOUS it was. It is a mid century luxury home. I am telling you guys....My friend's home is a dream. I think it may be my dream home...if I could afford it. Anyways, she gave me a tour of her stunning home and one of the rooms she has been working on is her daughter's room. I told her I would help, so I created this moodboard using colors she wanted in the room and colors and trends I know that she likes. I am so in love with this room...I kind of wished I had a baby's room to decorate. Her daughter's room is pretty small, so the last thing I wanted to do was create an inspiration board filled with stuff that is not needed or that would crowd the room and shrink it down in size. Do y'all recognize my fabric of choice for this room? It is the same one I have been oohing and awing for a while. You can get the deets, here. My friend has some reservations about the fabric, but what say you?
Would you incorporate the Tula Pink 16th Century Selfie Plum Fabric in a baby's room? Is it to gaudy?

Adorable! Love all the bits of gold - I'm a sucker for that.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am such a sucker for gold, too!
DeleteI love this! I'm pinning to my nursery board right now!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I think non-traditional nurseries are awesome. I think the fabric is a bit much for a nursery, but I've also seen how well you weave things together so I'd say try it!
ReplyDeleteI would go for it! It's your house and nursery!
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty! I would! It makes it easier to transition it into a "big kid" room later on!
ReplyDeleteI love your inspiration board! It's fantastic! But I do not need another reason to want a baby. I'm not sure I'd use the fabric. It's really cool, but it's just not my personal taste.
ReplyDeleteI love this mood board so much! I also love when a nursery isn't overly cutesy and still looks like it fits in with the rest of the house if that makes sense :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!! XOXO
This nursery is amazing!! I've never seen one like this. Great job! You've got me rethinking my current nursery. ;)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I love the colors. And it's not super baby-like so I feel like it would be a good transition room too.
ReplyDeleteGreat board. I like the black & white with the pops of bright color, especially the gold.I grew up with a really bold wallpaper in my room and loved it. I think it might spark creativity!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so bright and fun! What a great concept for a nursery!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I love all the bright colors and touches of gold. I definitely would use that fabric somewhere. The twins nursery is Orange and Grey. Everyone looked at me like I was a crazy person when I went with those colors, but I love it.
ReplyDeleteOooooh, orange and grey is a GREAT color combination!
DeleteIt's bold and beautiful and I love it
ReplyDeleteThis is so flawless and so soothing
ReplyDeleteWow, I never would have thought to do something like this for a nursery but it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that color scheme for a nursery! I think the subtle furniture with the bright colors is perfect
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love the dark wood crib :) I don't think I would use that Tula Pink fabric, but just because it's not my favorite. It look good with what you have though.
ReplyDeleteI love ALL of this. The colors are amazing. The fabric is super cool, but could easily become too gaudy if it were used too much. But in moderation? Love it. :)
