Hello All! I have some exciting news...I am participating in the #30dayflip hosted by Jeanette from Snazzy Little Things and Meredith from Arts & Classy. This challenge is exactly what I needed to kick my butt into gear and finally decorate my girls room. I have been sitting on my plans for their room forever. I even blogged about what I wanted for their room when I first started blogging and still nothing. Now that I moved them into the "original" master bedroom, it is time to make my vision into reality.

I know my girls would love to have some Disney themed room, but the mom in me is tired of anything Disney related...they have Disney brand clothes, toys, bags, books, and other stuff and it gets boring after a while. I am not sure if they are even aware of the changes that I will be making in their room and I do not think they would mind the direction I plan to go. They seem to like whatever I do. Hopefully they love this room even more once it is completed to where they would keep it clean. Ha!...Wishful thinking.

The style I am leaning towards is kinda a bohemian eclectic style, with more emphasis on "eclectic". I would love to "set the mood"---what mood?... it's a kids room? Yeah...and? That is the same thing I told the mister. Basically, I love all colors, I particularly lean more towards the darker, gloomier colors. Back to "setting the mood"...I would like to set the mood and create an avant garde space for my children. I mean, every parent wants the best for their children, right? Well, I want my girls room to look like a room I would literally want for my "kid" self. I do not want to settle for ordinary. Problem is, I would have to create "the mood" without painting any walls (landlord's rule)...challenging? eh, maybe...my plan is to create the mood with furniture and accessories...we will see how I do.

I am not the richest girl in monetary terms, but I would love to create a room that gives the same "feel" as the rooms in my moodboard. I plan to use existing furniture and only buy accessories to  to create the mood I am going for. There will be some DIY projects, but nothing this rental cannot handle. So far that is the plan....Let's get at it!
