Honestly, the BEST place to get ready for Halloween and to let your creativity go wild is the Thrift store. I love LOVE love Halloween and I am so happy that I got the opportunity to share my Halloween "thrifted" finds with  you. I am pretty sure, I have made my brass madness known...if not, I want to proclaim..."I am totally down with the brass!" Suite 22 Antiques found this 9 pound, 13 inch tall horse head which I am so intrigued by. You just do not find brass horse heads now a days...I mean, I have seen wooden ones and chrome ones, but never a brass one. I think what I like most about this piece is that it has that traditional style to it and that it is heavy and not brass plated. It is gorgeous and I could only imagine it gracing the shelves of somebody's library.


If only I could find a bamboo Hollywood Regency dresser...it would complete my dresser fetish. The Weathered Door scored a Thomasville Allegro faux bamboo dresser and is currently debating on paint colors. Oh, if only...I know this is not #dearTST but if this was mine...I would paint it black and spray paint the hardware gold...oh yes, yes I would!

If only I had the space for this beautiful vintage gold HUGE couch....wishing, wishing, oh so wishing! Isn't she gorgeous? Look at that velvet, it looks great and according to the seller this couch is in prestine condition just too large for the space. At $50 it is one hell-o of a steal...need I say more? Gosh, I am just dying over here....literally. I know exactly what the mister is thinking...if I were to get another couch he would want me to get rid of my chinoiserie print sofa (yeah right).
Man, she is gorgeous...an absolute beauty! I am not going to lie, I went so far to contact the sellers and so far no go. I contacted them right when I saw this post and this is a new post, so my thoughts are it is gone. I knew it was too good to be true. Just my luck or maybe it wasn't for me. She is one hell of a beauty but I know I will fall in love again and again...lol.

Note: I absolutely cannot stand when sellers leave their post up after the item is long gone....that just irks every nerve inside of me.

Now, how was I able to find mirrors the size I was looking for? I went to Lowes bought some glass pieces and had them cut the glass to the exact size I wanted. You can use glass from a picture frame and you can cut it yourself, but I did not gave extra glass laying around...I DO have a glass cutter though. The two pieces of glass cost me around $5....not too shabby, eh?
After I purchased my glass, I went to my local Walmart and purchase Krylon's Looking Glass spray paint. To give it the antique look I was going for I wet a kitchen towel with water and then poured some vinegar on it (I did NOT have an empty spray bottle on hand). Then I dabbed the towel on the glass and went to town with the spray paint.
