Spring 2016 One Room Challenge: Week 4
April 27, 2016
Hello and welcome to the Spring 2016 One Room Challenge week 4. Before I go head deep into this post, I just wanted to say thank you to those who support me and who have been commenting. I have been extremely busy and at the same time I have been dealing with a sick kid. So my game is a little offbeat. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this challenge it is hosted by Linda from Calling it Home and this challenge alone is a great way to meet new home decor bloggers. I have met so many bloggers through this challenge who have inspired and motivated me...I am forever grateful!
I have been teasing my followers on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter with some of snapshots. The room is still coming together and guys, it is starting to look like an eclectic-collected room. Hence to say, some changes will be made. I like the look, but it is not cohesive with what I have going on in my dining room. I need to splatter some fun into this room. Anyhow, I plan on having a wall of curtains. I could not find the exact color that I needed so I collaborated with Rit Dye to make it happen and I am so happy with the way they came out. You will have to wait to see them. Sorry!
Here is a little sneak peek of my fireplace and my chair(s) from Lamps Plus (this particular chair has been discontinued). I love this chair, it swivels and is extremely comfortable. Let me not forget, the kids and the mister love it!!!
I have a slight dilemma, I have this gorgeous Persian rug that looks great in the space. I plan to incorporate a layering technique with my rug and purchase a rug from RugsUSA to go under this lovely thing. Since painting my fireplace, I am a bit stumped...I do not know if I want the black and white rug that I originally planned on.
What do you think...B&W or Neutral colored rug?
A huge thank you to the companies who are supporting me through this challenge and who have collaborated with me.

ReplyDeleteI was eyeing the same black and white rug. :) I love the color and pattern in your persian rug. It gives a nice contrast to the dark fireplace. Love your style!
ReplyDeleteThat persian rug is going to look amazing. I would go with a neutral rug under it. And, I am so impressed with how you fixed the fireplace. This is looking great.
