Christmas Home Tour Part 1
December 01, 2015
Happy Tuesday and welcome to the first part of my Christmas Home Tour which is hosted by Sharon from Pretty Practical Home. If you are visiting from Our Crafty Mom...HELLO (in my Adele voice) Haha!
Due to a recent revelation, I was not able to decorate my rental to its full extent. I really wanted to go all out this year and buy a butt-load of holiday decor, but my instincts told me to stick to what I already had...honestly, where would I have stored it? Haha! I did pick up a few things including a slim Christmas tree. At first I do not think my family was down with it but after it was all set up and decked out, they started to see it in all its glory. I really like the look of a slim tree and it made sense because we are limited on space.
The look I decided to go for was a mixture between vintage-eclectic-preppy mixed with a little glam. I know that is a mouth full.
I will be sharing my Christmas tree style on a later post. The mercury glass candle holder believe it or not is a clearance item from Halloween that I purchased from Michaels. The nutcracker is a German vintage nutcracker the 1960's that I purchased a couple years ago from the thrift store for a couple of bucks. Yep, it is my Christmas gem.
There is that deer again...Love!
More nutcrackers...beads and ornaments! Oh and there is one of three of my prints from Vintau!
Tinsel, beads and a whole lot of pattern rocking out in this corner!
That is a wrap for part one of my Christmas home tour. Be sure to stop by tomorrow to check out the rest of my holiday home tour.
You do not want to miss the chance to feel inspired! Up next on this Christmas Home Tour blog hop is Sara from Shabby Grace blog...and if you have visited her site before, you know she if full of inspiration and practical, BEAUTIFUL decor. Get inspired!

DeleteYour tour looks great Jess! I have been wanting to get a slim tree for the living room for years. I just haven't talked my family into it yet:). Your nutcrackers are super cute too. I hope you are having a great week. Take care, Tara

ReplyDeleteThe tree is perfect in your space, so I'm glad your family's on board with it now! I always love how you style your space, and Christmas did not disappoint. How come I never find cool vintage nutcrackers when I go to the thrift store?!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I think I was lucky...the day I picked that nutcracker up, I picked up a box full of vintage ornaments. Thanks!
DeleteI loved your mouthful--"-a mixture between vintage-eclectic-preppy mixed with a little glam". Having been a Christmas freak since I was a kid, and I'm old...that is a perfect description along with vintage for my home. I LOVE what you have done---buy and live with what you love, edit along the way. Very fun! Thanks for the smiles, Sandi
