A couple of weeks ago, I shared my family room and eating area for the One Room Challenge; what I failed to debut in this challenge was the breakfast bar. This space is essentially part of that area but there was so much to do in such a little time; there was no way that I could do it all. After taking a short break from projects, I thought it was good time for me to tackle the breakfast bar and give it a mini-makeover.
If you remember, I mentioned a few posts back that I will be collaborating with Ace Hardware for most to all of my rental transformations. So far, I have collaborated with them on my ORC fireplace makeover, furniture stools, and on my master bathroom makeover, which all turned out great. I have really been enjoying visiting their store and exchanging friendly conversations with their employees. This past trip was pretty relaxing...I did not have my kids with me and the weather was pretty gloomy, so it was one of those days when mom just needed to get out. A trip to Ace was just what I needed to get my butt into gear and mind set on project mode. I used the same technique to choose my paint color for this project asI did when I chose my fireplace paint color. The only difference was I had a finished room to match it to.
