Hello all! Remember when I said I am a hoarder? Well...one of the things that I stock up on is seating.  So when I heard that Minted was going to be this months Fab Flippin' Furniture Contest sponsor...I had to jump the gun and sign up. If you do not know, Minted has the hottest fabric around created by artist themselves. I had a hard time choosing which fabric to go with and eventually decided on the Modern Marble Fabric. I really like the free flow abstract lines of this fabric...It reminded me of lava. Haha!

In my stash of goodies, I had a deconstructed bench with a curved base. When I first purchased this bench it was a beauty wrapped in vinyl until my sons little prying fingers started messing with it and massacred it. He picked at is so much we had to throw the original foam and vinyl away. Since I did not know what to do with the chair it has just been sitting in my hoard room naked waiting for a makeover.

I shaped and cut the foam and batting for this project. I was such in a rush that I forgot to take step by step photos. The curves in the chair made this difficult. but it got done.

After I stapled the batting down, I add the fabric. Again....this was a chore. I have completed simple upholstery projects, but this on the other hand was something else. The curves were working against me and as much as I pulled and tucked I had hard time. Reality folks, yep....this is real life!

Here it is...Not so bad, eh...This project was definitely a lesson learned and challenge accepted. I love Minted and I am so honored to have this opportunity to use their fabric for this challenge.
