Festive Tablescape, Cookie Recipe, Holiday Craft Tutorial inspired by Glade

Happy Thursday everyone! I cannot believe it is almost the end of the year! Where did all the time go? With that said, the winter holidays are quickly approaching and my family has been getting into the spirit by celebrating the holidays with Glade®. The new Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection makes the winter season come alive. The fresh smell of BE AT PEACE™ which has notes of balsam fir and juniper fills my home with memories of holidays spent with loved ones.

The beautiful aroma of the Glade®, SEND A LITTLE LOVE™ smells like a vanilla biscotti™ and reminds me of all the sweet comforting food that the holiday season has to offer. As a child, I remember my mother using scented fragrances to give off the smell of fresh cut pine tree as the winter holidays approached. I feel so blessed to be able to continue these traditions using the new Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection.

What I love most about the new Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection is that it can help transform a space and evoke feelings. Whenever I light a Glade® Jar Candle I am taken back to a certain feeling in time, which I like. Another thing that can be appreciated is that the fragrances in the Limited Edition Winter Collection are trendy and classic, along with their product packaging. The Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection is simply packaged; there aren't any stickers on the jar candles or wax melts warmers that would take away from my seasonal decor. Overall, Glade® products blend in nicely with all home decor styles and are easy to use. The Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection can be found at your local Kroger Stores.

Tablescape Ideas, a recipe, and a craft all inspired by Glade jar candles

The Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection embodies special moments with friends and family that make the holidays so special. What better way to spend the holidays than by bringing friends and loved ones together. One of our favorite holiday traditions is to invite our closest friends over for dinner parties. There is no better way to say, "thank you for being our friend" than by celebrating the holidays with the festive holiday scents of Glade® and warm, delicious food. Special memories are made when we are in the presence of those who make us happy.

The festive holiday scents of Glade® remind me of home and baking holiday treats with my mom and sister. One treat in particular that eludes the comfort of home are Chocolate Chip Cookies. They are easy to make and delicious to eat. Cookies are a special treat that my mother, sister and I would personally make, box up, and deliver to those individuals who held a special place in our hearts. My mother taught us the importance of telling others that we appreciate them, and baking holiday cookies was one way we expressed our appreciation for those people.

I could not leave you out of the loop and share with you some childhood memories about baking with my mom and sister without sharing a family cookie recipe with you.

Ingredients

3 Cups of Flour
1 Cup of Brown Flour
3/4 Cups of Sugar
1 Cup of Butter*
2 Eggs*
3/4 Tsp of Salt
3/4 Tsp of Baking Soda
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 bag of Milk Chocolate Chips

**Whenever I am baking cookies, I like to set my butter and eggs out a few hours prior to preparation.  This method softens the butter and allows the eggs to become room temperature for easy baking.

When it comes to preparing for the holidays, I love to create signage and hang them up. It makes my house feel more alive! Today, I created a simple holiday sign using a tin tray. The materials needed for this project is a stencil, permanent marker, and paint.  This tutorial will work with any home decor theme because it can be catered to fit your style.

Steps:

1. Clean and prep tin tray for project
2. Trace words on using a stencil and permanent marker*
3. Fill in your stenciled with black paint. I used chalk paint so that I would not have to prime prior to painting. I applied approximately 4 coats of chalk paint on my letters to make sure that the lettering had full coverage.
4. Go over painted letters with puffy paint.

To hang this up you can simply hot glue some decorative ribbon to the back  and hang or you can apply the layering technique and lean this up against another artwork that is in proportion to your holiday tray decor. Either way it is festive and easy to recreate making your holiday party memorable and festive.

My holiday planning would not be complete without the beautiful fragrances of the new Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection and friends and family to celebrate with. I hope your holiday brings you glad tidings and I hope that happy memories are made. You can purchase the Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection at a Kroger near you to help you celebrate the holiday.
