Happy Thursday! This past week has been HECTIC!...I am so tired...but no matter how tired I am, I plan to participate in the One Room Challenge hosted by Calling It Home. This is a 6 weeks home decorating challenge. That starts today and ends with the big room reveals on November 12. Join me and a few of my other blogging friends as we partake in this challenge! I plan to do a weekly post every Thursday so that you can follow me along with me through this room makeover.

The room I plan on making over is my small master bedroom. A year or so ago we gave up the "real" master bedroom to house our kids in since we are using the third room for storage (we lack storage big time in our rental) and decided to relocate into what use to be our little girls room. You can see the makeover we did for our little girls (master room), here. Back in April we actually gave our room a mini makeover, so it is kind of shocking that I am redoing it. Basically, a month after the makeover the mister and I started to feel like the room wasn't really "us."

Here are a couple of before pictures of the room:

Since I live in a rental, there is honestly not much I can do in terms of painting and all of that. So What I plan to do is spruce it up with layered decor and do a fun wall treatment to add a bit of character to the room.  Here is a moodboard that I created using art prints from Minted, pillows from Aloriam, and everything else I already have or plan to create. This is my plan for now, but you never know it just might change.

Please join me weekly to see my progression through this challenge...and...If you aren't following me already and you love my decor style...I would love for you to.

  14. I rent too, which makes it difficult to paint and do anything permanent. But that is not stopping you for sure. Your plans look awesome and I love the cohesiveness while still being eclectic.

    1. oh gosh, everyone has been so kind! Thank you so much for recognizing my style. Although renting may cramp my style a little bit, it allows US to think outside of the box and to make it happen. Thank you Tiffany for being able to relate.
