Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great first week of Fall weekend. It rained a ton where I am at, but it gave my family a good reason to stay in, watch movies, and relax. Anyways, while relaxing during the week I was window shopping the site Minted. Have you heard of Minted? I have been admiring their site and all of the art and home decor for the past  few months and have decided to put together a mix and match collage. In the first column of this collage are curtains they sell and in the other two are art one of the kind art pieces that are sold by artist featured on their site. In fact, everything that is sold on Minted was designed by an independent artist.

What I love most about Minted is how they allow us to have access to art and design concepts that have been created by your everyday person in the form of photo cards, art work, stationery, to home decor items. They have a ton of things on their site that the everyday person can use! Everything is reasonably priced and absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I had a hard time choosing my favorites for this collage because everything, literally EVERY single item, was gorgeous.

A curtain and art roundup of some of my favorite Minted products

Row One
Row Two
Row Three
Row Four

I decided to share some of Minted's curtains with you because I personally find it challenging to find curtains that I truly like....or that are long enough. Whenever I design a room curtains are one of the first things that I look for because believe it or not they are one of the largest statements in a room. They hang from the top of the wall and go to down to the floor, so they are considered as art in my eyes.

I paired the curtains with two art pieces that I found would compliment the room and create a setting. In row one, I took the Midnight floral curtain which is a botanical curtain and kept with the theme of nature. I would love to place these curtains in a sun room filled with plants and pictures of horticulture and Entomology.

In row two, I played off of the spotted curtains, which is evident with the art pieces selected. I chose fun pieces that I thought would look great in a child's room or even in a playroom. The pieces are light, airy, full of character, and whimsical.

In row three, I took a curtain that is somewhat reminiscent of vintage fabric and mixed it with pieces that are bit more modern. I love a good throwback! Anyways, I would put this set in a bedroom and mix vintage and new pieces. I love this curtain...if they made it into a shirt, I would even wear it. HA!

In row four, it is all about the Uneasy stripes. They aren't necessarily chevron stripes and they are not your typical black and white stripes that you see now a days...which I love. The lines on the curtains are not necessarily uniform, which makes them interesting. I wanted to add color to compliment the black and white without it being too dramatic and overpowering so I paired the curtains with simple art that is beautiful and can make a statement.

Honestly guys, this is just a VERY small portion of what Minted has to offer. The possibilities of mixing and matching their home decor line is endless...They have so much stuff, you will find yourself "favoriting" and loving everything the way I do!

  3. I've heard of Minted. I am terrified of patterns. Well, if I had to pick ONE pattern, I'm OK. Ask me to pair it with another pattern? Nope. Cannot do it.

  4. That's really cool! We used the curtains that came with the house, but I am not a fan of any of the curtains upstairs. Ugh. Our list of "wants" for our house is a mile long, but I'll definitely check these out when we get around to that one :)

  17. We LOVE minted here at our house. Everything wedding related we had came from there. I love the customer service, care with the products and attention to detail. One of our favorite companies ever. Now, I had no idea they had curtains on the site! but you are absolutely right. Finding the perfect curtain is tricky and they should be considered art! I love the one you picked for row one - colors are gorgeous!
