Happy Thursday All! My parents and little brother are down for a few days and I have been crazy busy prepping for their arrival. Prior to their arrival, I signed up to guest host another round of Thrift Score Thursday hosted by Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corrina from For My Love Of, and Trisha from Black and White Obsession. I love thrifty finds and I love participating in these series and I had a hard time choosing my favorites for the week. I hope y'all enjoy my picks!

My first favorite find is from avery_hungrycaterpillar over at Hou and Me. The tray and mirror were thrifty finds that she purchased for a total of $7.50. I am a lil' jealous! The tray is ABSOLUTELY stunning and has a great amount of inlay detail to leave anyone with a smile on their face....AND THE MIRROR...OMGEEE >>> this reminds me of a thrift store find that I passed up because of a stupid rule I have. Basically, I do not like going into a store and only purchasing ONE item. I know NOT a good rule, I probably should change it. I love this mirror and I am now punching myself in my gut over my mirror lost.

My second favorite find is from Angie from the_decor_adobe. She is one creative chick! >>Check her out, you will see what I see!  Anyways, I love how worn this chair looks...It gives off rattan meets native american decor. Get my vibe. I can honestly see this chair in my eclectic living room. Love it!

Now for my find, I found this brass tray made in India (according to the sticker on the back) at my local thrift store. I actually found three trays all different sizes, all with a different design, and all in GREAT condition. I WANTED all three. I did, I did, I did...but I brought the mister with me and he talked me into only purchasing one. Like Always! I wish I could go back and purchase the other ones...I know they are gone. Jess (me talking to myself)---"DO NOT BRING THE MISTER WITH YOU TO THE THRIFT STORE!" That should be my rule, right?

I love all the detail on this tray. It is gorgeous and I hope I can find another one like it or similar. *sigh*

Well, this was my thrift store GOLD score and my top favorites for the week. Do not forget to check out the other thrift score Thursday host's below.

  1. People who can create treasures out of thrift store purchases are amazing. I tried it but failed. I have a co worker that does this and her daughter has recently joined her and now they have formed a business. Very cool.

  8. Your tray is just gorgeous! I have kind of funny thrifting rules too - whatever it takes to keep from dying in an avalanche of hoarded thrift finds, right? ;) But I'm really kicking myself lately over passing on a ginko-leaf print lamp with a brass greek key base (I know, I know... so stupid!) because I can only buy things in pairs... And it wasn't there when I regretted it and went back. Feeling your pain!

    1. A thrift store is a second hand store, basically a store that sells used goods. Thanks for stopping by. Sorry for the late response.

  18. Ooooh...I just went to Goodwill today! It was my first time at this one where I live, as my family and I just moved here (to Maryland), and I was blown away by how big the furniture section was. I see a lot of upcycling and restoration in my future :). My daughter's birthday is next month and I scored 5 Hello Kitty bags --brand new, with tags--, as well as 5 unopened sheets of Hello Kittty stickers, all for 0.49 cents each! I'll be using them as part of her goodie bags for her 5 guests :). I love deals!

Thrifty women play important role in the decoration of their houses, thrifty women buy every thing in low price, these women give good advice to their students, they decorate their houses and these women make their house like paradise, i personally like thrifty women and i am also a thrifty women and I would like to share that Naturopathy can help your immune system in Brookvale as it did mine because of which I can do a lot of work without any problem.
