Happy Tuesday All!  Thank you for all the LOVE and SUPPORT y'all have given me. I appreciate ALL of your comments, shares, tweets, insta love, and FB support. I just wanted to let y'all know that I am behind on comments and I DO plan to respond to every comment. Please forgive me. Thanks!

July Update: July was crazy busy....some things got done, while others were pushed to the side. "Operation Mom" is still happening as I type. I think I suffered a week's worth of anxiety plus stress induced sickness' due to this visit and all the craziness that has gone on with my rental. As of right now, blogging has been more like therapy for me and it takes my mind off of all the cleaning that is occurring. The hoard room is now at a place where it is not overflowing into the hall and I can actually walk into the room. YAY! 90% of my rental has been deep cleaned. I need to mop the living room and dust and I think that is it. What I thought would be a small living room mini makeover is at a hold right now. Half the room is completed and I am in the process of making some decisions in regards to finishing touches, so until then...the living room is at a stand-still. The lighting has been switched out and let me say...Light bulbs are NOT cheap! I spent half of my decor budget on purchasing light bulbs for the main living areas in my rental. My much needed command center did not go up and now I am squirming with anxiety inside over it. My babes started school and here comes the paperwork, spelling words, important dates...AND WHAT?...Nowhere to put it. I need to get it done. Hopefully sometime this month Target has a huge sell on stationary decor.

August Goals

1. Get my body back---this is the same goal of mine from last month. I did not actually physically go to the gym, but I did lug furniture up and down the stairs and in and out of rooms...so if that counts, I did workout to some degree. Ha! No but for real, whether I start eating a bit healthier or decide to go to gym or actually put my stability ball to use...it will do my body and my mind good.A small part of me has been contemplating on canceling my gym membership. I have been super busy with blogging that it has been running into my gym time. BUT I love going to the gym and it is hands down the best gift (BESIDES my children) the mister has given me....I will have to figure something out. I was also thinking that I can always work out 3 days out of the week compared to the 5-6 days I was working out to prior to summer. 2 days at the gym (all strength), 1 day at home (stability and whatever weights I have). When I start back up, I want to do it my way>>>>NO CARDIO!

2. Get things DONE!---I would love to complete my living room makeover this month and a small bedroom makeover. I think it is doable, hopefully I am not setting myself up. 2 out of 3 of the babes are in school so the house is cleaner and projects can start happening. So let's GET IT!

3. Command Center---I need this ASAP! Ideas....Pinterest here I come!

4. Kids fall bucket list---After reading a friends summer bucket list, I decided that my kids should create a fall bucket list since they really did not have much of any summer to say the least. As stated in an earlier post, my baby girl was sick the whole summer so at home we stayed. It was boring! Now that everyone is feeling better, I would love to go out and do stuff with them.

These are my PERSONAL (non blogging) goals. They will most likely start after my parents leave from their visit. For some reason, I cannot focus when visitors or the mister is home...Anyone else like this?

Well, fall is almost here and happy August! I will see y'all on Thursday. I will be guest hosting for Thrift Score Thursday. If you want to join in on the fun before Thursday submit your latest thriftscore find to #thriftscorethursday via instagram. See ya, then.

  1. I love your idea of starting a bucket list for your kids! I ended up cancelling my gym membership because even though I loved going, it wasn't realistic for my schedule. Now I do all my workouts at home- my husband takes the baby so I still get my own time, and it's much more convenient for me. I'm glad blogging has been therapeutic for you and look forward to keeping up with you!

  2. I haven't used my gym membership since my now 2 month old was born...and even then we used it maybe once a week in the winter just to go swimming! I can't wait to feel 100% to get back into the gym (just unsure about BFing and working out...bad things could happen!! LOL!) <3 Christine, The Choosy Mommy, www.choosykids.blogspot.com

  3. Good luck with everything! I also am not good at getting things accomplished when people are over. The bucket list for fall is a great idea! There is so much to do in the fall. Hay rides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, apple picking! I love fall! have a great day xo *erica*

  4. I have faith you will accomplish your goals. I'm loving the idea of the kids having a bucket list! We posted about our command centers a few weeks ago @ craftoflaughter.com

  5. I love how you set a reasonable amount of goals. With kids and all other things that life throws at us, we have a ton of goals and little time. This makes it much more realistic!

  6. Ok, I'm going to build on this. I'm going to set monthly goals, but categorize them (kids, blog, husband, wine biz, house, etc.). Something like that.

  7. Ugh, yes! I am all about goal lists. It's a "goal" of mine to start writing out goal lists on my blog as a monthly post, actually (that sounds hilarious).

  8. I've never thought about a fall bucket list. Fall is my favorite season though, and I can think of tons of things I'd put on mine! I might have to steal that idea. :)

  12. Oh man, my August goals all revolve around getting into an exercise routine again and planning for back to school. I should have done more this summer (I say this EVERY YEAR) and yet I didn't. Frantic planning, here I am.

  17. We've been working on our Summer bucket list, but Fall is so close, we may need to make one of those too. I've been finding it hard to fit in exercise and blogging too. Not enough hours in the day!

  20. I love that you post monthly goals! One of mine goals is similar to yours- get back into an exercise routine. I've also been debating on whether or not I should stop my gym membership as well!

  21. Good luck getting things organized. I cannot get things together when the kids are home for the summer. I love spending time with them, but it is nearly impossible to get things done. Love that you put your monthly goals in writing. Must be super helpful.

  30. Wow! You have been BUSY! Sounds like a great workout for the body - lugging furniture - but not so much for the mind. Lots of anxiety. Making that fall bucket list and filling it with some easy fun ideas - might just be the answer! good luck!

  31. My goal is also to get my body back! I love goals! Good luck on all of your goals this month!

  33. Although my kids aren't starting school until the end of the month, we'll be easing our way back into 4 days a week homeschooling and I'm seeing First Day of School photos on Facebook today from others! I can't believe summer's almost over! We still have a quick trip to Atlanta this month and it just feels very...smooshed. Our summer, that is. And yes, I'm with you on all of that---easier to clean/decorate/organize/everything when others aren't around and goals keep getting pushed back because of who knows what!

  34. Getting organized is on my list of things to do for Fall. I'm also still working on my fitness and health this fall. Good luck with the command center!

  36. Great August Goal List! I love the idea of sharing your goals for accountability, support and to encourage others that can relate. A command center is on my action list, too. I have a great idea that I found on Pinterest (of course) and hope to get it up and running by the end of Septemeber.

  37. Good luck with your goals this month! I really need to get on board with the exercise thing...thats one area I keep procrastinating about - always so many other things to do :) Enjoy the rest of the time with your parents :)

  39. I find it hard to stick to my goals with visitors around too. The idea of a fall bucket list is great. I do one every year and it helps us make the most out of Fall since come December we are indoors most of the time. Good luck with your goals!
