Wall Art Blog Hop
July 13, 2015
Hello All and Happy Monday!
Remember when I posted my monthly goals for July? Well, I am almost finish with my living room makeover. So far, I completed one wall of transformation in that room. On this one wall, I created a new gallery wall, painted my shelves, and done some little touches here and there.
There are a few changes that I need to make in regards to this area, but as for now I like the direction this room is going in. I have a mixtures of styles going on that I simply cannot help it...I just LOVE it all! Ha! This wall in particular took me a whole weekend to complete, because I could not make up my mind on what art to use or what decorative plates to hang up....should I square everything out, should I add round elements, should I use this because of this color, etc? Everything I wanted to use looked good (in my opinion). I had to take into consideration my dining room and hall and how the rooms flow together and the changes that will go on in those other rooms.
In the small time frame that I have lived in my rental I have collected and created a handful of art that I am proud to own; some thrifted, some free, others created, but all lovely and executed well. I have a bad habit of switching out prints every time a new furniture piece comes into my home. Wall art is something I take seriously...it is like an expression of who I am. With that said, I have teamed up with a group of blogging buddies to create a "Wall Art Blog Hop" --this gives us a sneak peek of what their style is and how they express themselves through wall art.

ReplyDeleteThis gave me some great ideas for a few walls that are left undone at the moment!! Ok, I linked up the ONLY thing that I technically thought of and did on my own - hanging Owen's newborn onesies on a laundry line as decor. ;) I'm not always the best at getting crafty, I'm more of the brains behind the idea...the brains that need hands to actually do it! Haha! (That's where my husband and MIL come in. :D)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Well, someone has to be the brains of something, right? Thanks for linking up---Your onesie idea is cute!
