Awww, today is the official day of the #30dayflip room reveal! Without this challenge, my little girl's room would not be as "decorated" as it is now. Thank you Jeanette at Snazzy Little Things and Meredith at Arts and Classy for setting this up.  If you have been following me these last few weeks on instagram and Facebook you know that I have been throwing out hints of items that I planned on using as decor. Some of those items you will see in the room, others you will not....like any other editing process, some things just did not work in the space like I had planned. However, room is the former "master bedroom" so they have a bathroom attached to their room where I will use some of the things that did not make it into their initial room in the bathroom area.

I am so happy with the overall feel and look of the room. It is not too kiddish and not too "grown up." I feel like the space looks better in person than in the photos. Please do forgive me, this room was somewhat more challenging to photograph due to the lack of natural light. Please enjoy...More information about this project is located at the end of this post. Below some of the pictures are links to the tutorial mentioned.

No money was spent purchasing furniture for this room. Most of the furniture was left as is, some were painted (I will share in a later post the things that were changed). Everything but the gold bar cart was already in the space. Although glass, I love how the bar cart fits into the space. It gives a sense of airy-ness to this dark space. Just to note, some of the furniture were free finds, others were purchased on Craigslist for basically nothing. The budget breakdown for what was spent on this challenge is as stated below.

Budget Breakdown:
     Curtains- $45
     Home Decor items- $35
Lighting- $25 (Vintage Chinese etched birdcage) and $10 (Brass bunnies for black lamps)
     Closet Door project- $9

     Total Spent- $124

Yikes....that is more than I normally try and spend on projects a month...yes, I am VERY frugal...but I love it and I feel like I have said before, "You do not have to spend a lot to make a space look chic." I am so happy with the design choices I made and I am so HAPPY I participated in this challenge.
