December is finally here! Time to decorate for the holidays....tinsel, gold, red, green, and everything shiny. I love the holidays and all the Christmas get up. I love reading other blogs and their looking at their Christmas Home Tours....It is just cool to see how different everyone decorates for Christmas.

This year I decided to go a little Art Deco. I love vintage decor and the roaring 20's and I thought what better way to celebrate that era than creating an Art Deco themed Christmas. Budget friendly decor for something so temporary is the way to go and there is no better way to do so than by making your own wreath. Side note, I do not think I ever purchased a pre-made wreath in my whole life.

I really was thinking simple when the idea of a tinsel wreath came to mind. You can literally purchase a tinsel garland for less than a dollar from Walmart. I typically buy my wreath base at the thrift store, but this year...I did not have time to search  high and low for the right wreath so I purchased mine from Michaels

Materials Needed:

Yep, all you truly need is a wreath and 2 packs of tinsel garland. You can probably get away with one garland, but I used two and I felt like its coverage (of the wreath) was spot on.

Directions:

Just wrap the tinsel around the wreath and tuck the ends. Voila, your finish. You can always secure the ends with staples, but if you change up your Christmas decor often you can just tuck the ends.

The finish product. The art piece with the wreath kind of reminds me of a door knocker! Ha!...
