Happy Monday! Today is officially the first day of my new year...Haha! In other wards, the kids are finally back in school. HA! I hope you had a great holiday break, we sure did. In fact, the mister and I look forward to the new year because it is one of the best times to go thrift shopping. GUYS....the new year is one of the times the thrift stores are loaded with inventory and sometimes to get rid of inventory, the thrift stores where I live will do an additional 50% off or add more of a discount to already priced items.

Thrift shopping experience from the comfort of my couch without picking up a finger

I feel blessed to have a significant other who LOVES to go to the thrift store as much as I do. He actually recently made an unexpected stop the other day at the thrift store and brought back some goodies. This is not the first time the mister has gone to the thrift store without me BUT this time he did something different and unexpected. Normally, the mister would take photos and send it to me. This time he loaded his cart with goodies that he thought I would like, busted out his phone and facetimed me to show me his goodies AND he walked me down every aisle including the furniture area and art area. CRAZY, RIGHT? I know. I was literally virtually shopping.

Everything that the mister brought home, were items he picked out. He did an awesome job at spotting things. He packed his cart and while facetiming that is when we purged the cart. This was hands-down one of the BEST and easiest thrift shopping that I have ever experienced....Thank you technology and a BIG thanks to my main squeeze for always thinking of me and for knowing what I like.

  2. How fun! This sounds a lot like my husband. He's a huge thrift shopper. He does the same and sends me pics when he spots something. I gotta convince him to get an iPhone so we can facetime, lol. Looks like your hubs snagged some great stuff!
