Growing up with a mother who was a clean freak, having a spotless, model-perfect house was a must-have. Everyday my siblings and I were required to clean prior to doing anything. If we wanted to go out, our room had to be cleaned, the main living area had to be spotless, and the bathrooms had to be wiped down. I do not know how my mom did it while raising five children, but she was able to get her house back to clean on a daily! Yes, cleaning was a chore (ha!) but I am HAPPY that my mother taught us the value of having a clean home and I respect her so much for her decision to allow her children to help maintain a clean house.

As a home decor/DIY blogger and mother, I see the importance of why a clean house was a necessity growing up. I will be very honest...I have a hard time maintaining my children's mess when they are out of school, but once they return to school, I find it 10 times easier to keep things tidy. One way that I "get back to clean" is by using Clorox Disinfecting Wipes in my everyday cleaning regime.

What I like about Clorox Disinfecting Wipes is that it is easy to use,  it can be used on multi-surfaces (appliances, vehicles, furniture, classrooms, glass, etc...), can clean up multi-messes in one usage, AND it removes 99.9% of germs, which is IMPORTANT. Knowing that these wipes removes 99.9% of viruses (including cold and flu viruses) and bacteria is critical to my family because my little one has crazy allergies and asthma and anything can trigger a flair up. Let's not forget that my older two children are in school and are constantly bringing home germs from school.  So having  a  clean, tidy, essentially germ-free house means my little one will less likely get sick.

Not only is it easy for me to use, but I feel safe letting my children use Clorox Disinfecting Wipes as well. With Clorox wipes, I am able to have my children help me clean up to where I am not hovering over them, watching to make sure they do not spray cleaning chemicals on certain surfaces or in someone's eye or switching out rags for different uses.  I love that I can literally hand them a wipe and have them help me clean up messes, spills, and wipe down furniture and walls without worrying about them spreading bacteria from one surface to another.

The coolest thing about Clorox Disinfecting Wipes is that it can be found at Target! That is right, my favorite store. Ha! It comes in Citrus, Orange fusion, Fresh Scent, Lavender and Serene Clean. It can be purchased in a package of three and placed in different areas of the home for easy access or individually. Personally, I like to purchase enough for each bathroom in my rental and one for the kitchen. Having easy access to it, makes cleaning up spills and wiping down the bathroom a breeze, especially before we have guest over.

Check out Clorox Social Hub to see how others are "getting back to clean" with Clorox.

I shared with you how I incorporate my kids into my cleaning regime, how do you involve YOUR kids (or other family members) into your cleaning routine?

  5. I love Clorox wipes. We use them often in our home. The kids have designated areas in the house to clean. They clean their bathroom and whatever mess they create in the kitchen. Sometimes we have them wipe down the walls.

  14. I love the clorox wipes! They are easily accesible and do a great job cleaning! I'm anxious to involve my daughter in our normal cleaning routine when she gets older. She does already copy me cleaning by grabbing one of her wipes and pretends she's cleaning! It's super cute!

    1. It is always so cute when the babes like to copy what momma is doing. You just made me remember when eldest was a babe she use to mimic me cleaning all the time, now she is 7 and takes the initiative to clean on her own....She has been patiently waiting for me to teach her how to wash dishes.

  18. I think wipes are so easy for kids to clean with (much better than spray in the eyes). Since most teachers need to wipe down tables/desks in their classrooms, I always bring these wipes to conferences for the teacher to use. I know many of their classroom supplies are bought with their own money, so this is just a little way to help out. (I also bring in Kleenex).

    1. Good point. I purchased some for back to school, but I have never thought to gift them to the teacher mid-year. This would probably make a better gift than a mug and some knick knacks. Good idea Erin.
